The largest in my goblet drum series, this hourglass form is a classic design, with its rounded triangular bowl and flared conical tail. The curve of the top rim meets the drummer’s hand comfortably, and emits a variety of bell-like tones. The long, straight tail projects the sound outward and extends the bass vibrations, providing rich tonal range.

Ceramic drum with natural hide. Wheel-thrown earthenware clay; each one is unique. Surfaces vary from earthy mattes to bright candy-colored gloss, depending on the season and my current inspirations. The "Pro" size Heatherdrum is usually 19.5" tall and 11.5" diameter. Most often finished with cowskin; goatskin alternate available. Colors vary; contact me for current selections. An extra-large drum for players who need a little “more”. Requests welcome!
