Taking inspiration from fine metalwork and heirloom jewelry of the Mediterranean, these lidded jars and wide open bowls are playful explorations in clay coiling. Taken from historical examples of this heritage craft, they are an homage to bygone days of the decorative arts. So far I’ve done only a handful of finished pieces in this style, and hope to continue this line of work.
